Directed Put Away Location Movement

I have Items in a Warehouse Location that is set as Directed Put-away and Pick. Prior to setting the flag for Directed Put-Away the location was positively adjusted without a bin code.
Now that the Location is Bin Mandatory with the Directed Put-Away and Pick I can not move the Inventory from the "General" Warehouse Location to a Bin.
Any ideas aout how to accomplish this?
Thank you.

1. Adjust the item back to what it was in the item journal.
2. Use the Warehouse Item Journal to adjust the item with the appropriate bin.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

I can not use the Item Journal because the Location is set as Directed Put-Away and Pick and indicates that I must use the Warehouse Item Journal for Adjustment.
I tried to remove the Directed Put Away and Pick flag buth there are open Warehouse Activities. I suppose, though I don't know if the client can, processing all the open activities for that location would allow the flag to be removed.
I will try in a backup environment but was hoping there was another way.0 -
Item journal can still be used even if directed pick and put-away is checked on.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Is there some trick to that? I get the message "You can not use location XX because it is set up with Directed Put-away and Pick. Adjustments to this location therefore must be made in a Whse. Item Journal."0

I guess they changed this in version 5... You most likely have to remove the code that checks for the directed put away, post the adjustment, then re-enable the code.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Hi!
When the localtion is set as "Directed put away and pick", if you want to perform an item adjusment, you have to do a Warehouse Item Journal. After posting, go to the Item Journal and run the "Calculate Whse. Adjustment..." on the Funtions button. The journal is filled automatically with the lines you just have posted using the Whse. Item Journal. Then Post.
