Current SQL Exams

Hello
I have the exam for SQL Server 2000 (70-228). In order to re-certificate I'm not sure whether to take
70-431 for SQL Server 2005 or 70-432 for SQL Server 2008. I would prefer 70-432 because this will last longer...

Anybody knows whether it is possible to skip 70-431?
If someone has a link to partnersource showing what certifications need which exams would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance

Of course you can "skip" the certificate for SQL 2005. I am in same situation, preparing to take the SQL 2008 certif. to be asmost uptodate as possible... :-)

I agree, if you have to make a choice I would do the most recent one. For NAV you're not going to use 80% of it anyway, and the parts that matter are almost the same for both versions.

    Thanks for your answers.
The question was also targeting whether the 70-431 is required by some rules anyway, regardless of making sense or not.
    Thanks in advance

It's not required for SQL 2008 exam.

Either exam will meet the requirements. I decided to take the 70-431 (SQL 2005) since I had much more hands-on time wiht that version. Didn't want to get tripped up by 2008 features I was not yet familiar with.
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.

You can check the certification requirements on the Microsoft Partner page.

Anywho, just confirming that if you pass 70-432, you will not need to pass 70-431 for NAV.
