By-Products in Manufacturing

Hello,

This is Eswar Chandu working as a manufacturing Consultant
I am new to Navision world.
Can any one please guide me whether By-Product concept is available in NAV , if so please guide me how do the same.

    Welcome to the forum.
    You should try to avoid giving personal information like phone number on the public forum like this as this can be misused.

    Can you provide information regarding the type of by-product i.e. is it a scrap or not.
    For scrap the procedure followed by us is to do a positive adjustment at zero cost and sell or consume in other processes.

    You can add a negative line to the BOM to create a by-product, but there are also add-ons to handle specific industry needs like the process industry.

    If we deifned it in -ve in BOM. Its entry type will be consumption type in the item leadger entry ,While it is second output.

    But the entry type does not really matter if the costing and stock are accurate and it fits the business process. :D
