Microsoft MapPoint Control in Dynamics Nav

I tried to add the microsoft mappoint control to a codeunit or form, but when i try to use the function newmap it gives an error - "The call to member NewMap failed. MapPoint.Control.13 returned the following message : MapPoint failed to load. The cause of this failure is unknown."
Does anyone have any clue about this? I tried to add the control in vb6 and it worked fine.
