HELLO.

WE HAVE UPGRADED SQL SERVER 2005 SP2 WITH HOTFIX 11 TO SQL SERVER 2005 SP3 AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SQL HAVE FALLEN IN A WAY THAT IS ALARMING (WITH ONE USER, IT TAKES MORE THAN 1 MINUTE REGISTERING A TRANSFER BETWEEN WAREHOUSES).

ANY SUGGESTIONS???????

run query profiler and see which statement are taking long.
Are you running nightly updates of indexes?

We migrated two smaller customers to SP3 to get a feeling about it and we also upgraded our performlab servers. So far we have not seen any issues.

This does not mean there are not any, but AFAIK SP3 is just a cumulative hotfix called servicepack.

Please run the Navision client monitor during a transaction that is slow. It seems to me that it is very reproducive.

Have a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd353312(SQL.90).aspx. There it is said:
SQL Server 2005 SP3 contains the hotfixes that were included in cumulative update packages for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 from cumulative update package 1 to cumulative update package 9.
Note: If you are upgrading from SQL Server 2005 SP2 Cumulative Update 10 or Cumulative Update 11, you must apply a post-SP3 cumulative update after upgrading to SP3 to get all the fixes. This post-SP3 update is available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959195/.

Maybe you have to install the post-SP3 cumulative updates mentioned.
