Hai All,

It would be grateful if anyone tell me the steps to install Navision 2009 in our PC. I have dowloaded the setup file from Partnersource.

After the installation of Navision 2009 , the Nav Classic client and Nav Classic with Sql option are working fine but when we try to connect the RTC,we are getting the following error :

"The Microsoft Dynamice NAV Server cannot connect the Change Listener to SQL Server due to the following
error : Cannot open database "Demo Database NAV(6-0)" requested by the login.
The login failed. Login failed for user "NT Authority\Network Service."

Seeing this error, I went for installing Demo Database Nav 6.0 individually but received the following error:

"Failed to connect to SQL database (-2147467259 Demo Database NAV(6-0)".

Can anyone give me the correct steps to install the same???

Any help would be really appreciated....

Thanks in advance......

After install, there is possibility to see the install log, did you check the log file?

When you finish the installation and there is some error, you can see button which can open the error log or install log for you.

Yes I have seen that...But there was no much information given in that file :-k .....It stated like

"Installed with some errors and warnings".

Try to detach the database from Management Studio. Then use c/side to open the database, using the attach option - when attaching here c/side will create the necessary settings for using NetworkService when the NAV Server and SQL Server are on the same machine.

If you are going machine<->machine see my reply in this post:
