Hi guys.
I got a little problem. Last time got helped setting up a Navision 5.0 server as a service and that part i working great now!!
I can connect the server from a NAV client program installed on server through servername / ip-address:2407 / localhost.
But now im also would like to connect my Navision server from another PC locally in the network. The server got the locally IP-address: 192.168.1.103 and I can from my other machine see the server, but when im trying connecting the Navision server via 192.168.1.103:2407, i got TCP/IP timeout. Its like the port 2407 on the server is not public visible? Can that be correct, and how do I make it visible for other PC's?
But when im trying to "ping" the port, by doing a telnet connection to the port "telnet 192.168.1.103 2407" it seems like my locally machine can connect the port (hmm).
The server is running Windows server 2003. My locally machine is running Windows Vista Business.
I have try reading the manual and searching in Google but cant find any usable!

Hi Garak!
Lot of thanks to you. Its always you who is helping me out of my problems.
The solution was adding the port 2407 to the firewall exceptions in Controlpanel > Firewall. Now i can connect the Navision server through a client installation of Navision from my laptop.
Thank you and wish you happy new year!0
