which one is real BA database

Dear Nav expert!
I have a little problem here, I've just setup Business Analytics in Nav 4. I saw when BA configurator running, it create new database in Enterprise Manager and Analysis Manager with the same name, I'm still confuse, what different between that two databases ?
When I update the data through DTS, I also need to refresh all Cubes in Analysis Manager, to make the data definitely update. why I have to do it twice ?
Please help, thanks...
