    Hi Rom,

    Welcome to Mibuso

If you are looking to rhe C/AL command it is the SETFILTER command.

As you are starting out, I would recommend that you read the application developer guide in the Doc directory of the Nav CD/DVD (w1w1adg.pdf).
Also the help in the C/Side reference guide is good.
Finally have a look at the standard code for examples.

    hi,

    thanks for the warm welcome.

Maybe it is not clear, what i mean with search funktion. Normally u can set the courser in a form on a field and if u press the [KEY F7] it open a search window, where u can look for records. In one of my forms it doesn't work. The form is tabullary type form.

Please help me. Its nearly christmas :D

    Hi,

Strange - could you check :

Does the button work on the top menu for the filter?

Check the Help -> Overview on function keys and see what F7 is mapped to

i've notice, that in the first field of this form, the F7 key works.

Field No. , it should be the prim. key.

but at Employeename, it doesn't work.

It is not search that you are talking about - it is filtering.
In Navision click Help -> Microsoft Dynamics Help. On Index tab, enter filter. First article will be Entering Criteria in Filter where you will find more or less all information you need about filtering.

    Hi Rom,

Now I see what the problem is. The first column is based on a field on the table so you can search, the second column is based on a variable filled at run time (by doing a lookup the master table). You cannot filter on field that are not on the table.

    @ Tomas, thanks.

it seems to be, that is it no problem. I guess, that this is a combination of 2 other fields and if i learned it right, i can't filter it with F7.

    Thanks for help
