Hi,
Imagina that you Create a Production BOM for paint which consists out of 4 raw materials...
Raw Materials: A,B,C,D
But i need to tell in the Production order that it should first mix
A & B during 5 minutes, and then afterwards you can add C & D
Is there a standard way of doing this ? And if so how to do it?

Two way you can do this (with a little modification)
1. Put in comments on the BOM line for the mixing
2. Use routing and put in the comments on the routing lines
With either option you will have to print the comments out on the report you use for production.
Dynamics Nav Add-ons

Routing link code tell what is the first operation and what is the next operation against these rawmaterials.
First create the Routing link code = MIXING.
Assign this routing link code to that items A , B in Production BOM.
Define the time In Routing card against that machine.
I created the Production BOM which consists out of 4 Raw Materials A,B,C,D
Then on the Prod BOM line of A & B i zoomed on the field "Routing Link Code"
I created 2 Routing Links, nl MIX1 & MIX2
Then i assigned the MIX1 to the Prod BOM Line of Item A & B
And then i assigned the MIX2 to the other 2 Prod BOM lines (Item C & D)
SO far so good...
Then i wanted to test so create a new Planned Production Order,
I select an item to produce which uses my just created Production BOM
Now i click Function Refresh and i Receive following error:
There is no Prod. Order Routing Line within the filter.
Filters: Status: Planned, Prod. Order No.::101217, Routing Link Code: MIX1
What am i doing wrong here now?
What ever the routing link codes u assigned to the items in Production BOM.
The same routing link codes should assign tO Machies, Because you need to know which machines are doing that Mixing Job
