Gen. Jnl. Allocation table Role Problem

lloydflloydf Member Posts: 73
I have just upgraded a version 3.7 database server to 5.0SP1 SQL server and one of my users is receiving the following error:

You do not have permission to read the Gen. Jnl. Allocation table.

What role should be applied to this user to enable him to read the Gen. Jnl. Allocation table?

thank you

    1) Sometimes the standard roles are missing some permissions (just info for you)
    2) Check the Permission table for this table and you will see in which roles it is...

Thanks for getting back to me,
I checked the Permissions table as you suggested and the G/L-JOURNAL, POST Role has Read, Write, Modify and Delete permissions set. The user has this role defined and he can operate across all companies.
So I am still unsure where else too look!!

    Just a thought...

Create a new role and within this role assign permission to Gen jnl Allocation table. Check whether this works for you.

    Thanks!
