Hi,
I have just created database on NAV sql client.
When I open a company in NAV I cannot see anything, but on SQL server I can see all the tables and companies.
I'm running windows vista business, nav 5.0sp1 and sql express 2005.
I cannot see what could be wrong.
:(

The company table is not empty, it has 3 records for the 3 companies.
I don't think that licence is problem.

    This is annoying.
Can anybody explain how to create new databases in Nav5.0sp1 with Microsoft SQL server option.
    Step by step

is it a native backup oo a sql backup?
If native backup (fbk), is this form a native database?

It seems that you are missing objects in the database. Probably they were not included in the backup or you restore the database which was not clean (already created objects or company inside, existing user accounts etc.).

to be sure, if the backupfile (fbk) includes all object, you can use the fbk to import objects.
Open the object designer -> File -> Import -> select the fbk -> wait some times -> Import the objects
Do you make it right, it works too!
