I'm trying to get my head round WMS in NAV 5.1 and am trying to run through a Purchase/Transfer - put away - Sell/ship cycle on the Cronus DB. For some reason when I do a warehouse receipt, no putaway is created and I have to go on create one manually although on the Bin Policies tab there is a Putaway template and "Alway create putaway" is ticked. Also, is it actually possible to create bin types other than the six default ones in Cronus? I'd be grateful for any sources of info on WMS apart from MS Warehouse Mgt which is rather incomplete.

Regarding the Bin Type question, what other options do you need? The WHM manual can be downloaded from Customersource and gives detailed information on WHM logic. It's the same manual used for NAV consultants to do certification and training.

As for CustomerSource, I'd love to know what settings you used to retrieve this manual - the only thing of any use at all that I managed to get was a technical white paper on WM and while the flowcharts are quite useful, there is not much detail and some of the contents are simply incorrect - it tells you you can have 8 different types of bin including Receive/Ship but NAV 5 does not let you combine these options. I have the WMS training manual but it simply takes you through various pre-defined scenarios without any explanation of the logic of the system.
Where the WMS manual can be downloaded is on eLearning, not Customersource or Partnersource itself. A link to eLearning can be accessed through Customersource.
A NAV customer will have access to Customersource if they're current on the enhancement plan. NAV partners will need to pay a fee in order to access eLearning.

I'm still baffled as to where the WMS manual is located - I've found plenty of warehouse training material on eLearning but no actual manual.
Hmm... I checked eLearning site, they seems to have taken down all of the downloadable PDFs to the courses...
