Hi

Is there any way to produce By products in Dynamic NAV

Suppose i have a Production item, say A, which contain item B in BOM.
During producing item A, B has been consumed, but during this, a new C is also producing .

What will be the way to produce C, so that C has an inventory with some cost.

To account for by-products in Navision, manufacturing companies
must use the regular consumption journal .

create a consumption record with a negative quantity.

The quantity represents the number of raw material items produced as a result of the manufacturing process.

When posted, the value of the negative consumption line is debited to the Raw Material or Finished Goods account (depending on the inventory posting group selected for the item in question) and credited to the WIP account.

There are also add-ons for the process industry handling co/by products etc.
The art of teaching is clarity and the art of learning is to listen
