Selection of Number Series in Employee Portral for Sales Ord

Dear All,
How can we replicated the Number Series selection for a Sales Order in Employee Portral similar to the one in Navision Client 4.0.
In Employee Portral the new number is generated immediately when the user selects the Insert Head - Action. The number picked for Sales Order is from Sales & Receivalbe Setup - > Numbering - > Order No.
