Whenever I go through an upgrade of Navision I have to Import all my forms/reports/Tables/Code Units. Is there a way not to have to do that every time?
My usual process is ot backup my entire database and then restore it after upgrading. There must be a better way!

There are standard procedures for upgrade. I believe that you are following them ?

Some more questions:
1. Or you just probably open DB with wrong version of client and you are asked to upgrade ?
2. Are you using more then 1 DB (different versions)
3. Do you have more then one version of client ?

I backup the database. I then install the upgrade. Then I restore the backup.
After restoring my backup I usually have to re-import forms and reports we have customized for our company.
We have only one database.
if you upgrade your client, you usually don't have to do anything with db ?
how often do you do upgrades ?!?
why do you do backup/restore and then import objects ? where do you get your objects ?
please describe here with a lot more detailes, because it's still ambigous what are you trying to tell us ?

The reason I have to import the objects is because we have customized the sales form and various other forms and reports. When I do a restore after upgrading the non modified objects are the ones in place. In order to replace the non-modified objects I have to import the objects that I have saved from when we first customized them.
For example our invoice has our logo and information we want on our invoice. Navision has its own stock invoice which contains different information and organized in a very plain way. When we upgrade all of our objects get replaced by regular stock Navision objects.
In terms of our database we haven't upgraded it since 3.6, I noticed 3.7 has different objects and code units with different numbers. I don't know how to upgrade the database and even if I did I would worry about garbage data entering our system - had this problem with our previous ERP.
You are most likely reciving hotfixes (updates) and not real upgrades.
Term upgrade is usually used when changing from 2.60->3.10->3.60, etc. It's majore job usually done by your NSC. Why isn't your NSC helping you ???
What do you receive for your updates ? whole fdb, fbk or just fobs (and sometimes exe files, etc).
Why do you use backup/restore procedure (Which options do you use when creating backup ?) You don't have to do backup/restore procedure, you just need to import changed objects that come with update.
And most times it's not even necessary to do that. Usually not all hotfixes are needed. The updates come for different parts of Navision and you probably even don't use all ? Think - do you really need updates that come for Commerce portal ? Or manufacturing if you don't use it ?

If all your doing is performing a c/side (client) upgrade then it sounds like something is not quite running right during your procedure !!!

Upgrade in Navision is not similar to the Upgrade or Update you get in Windows. Upgrading Navision is a different concept, it is usually from the lower version on Navision to the latest version. But this cannot be achieved by simply importing the hotfixes into the database ... it has many more things involved.
You need to be a bit more clear so that we can help you in some way or the best option is to contact the nearest NSC

If u r talking of Upgrading form a previous version to new version than go through the document provided in UPGRADE tool kit,in your product CD, it has maximum 19 steps, of which u have to usemosst of it depanding on how latest ur old version is.
better approch ur NSC.
If hot fix its all differnt.
