Server to Server in navision 5.01 (Please Help me)

I have A lot of qustions!! but this is the important one

our company have 2 servers (use win server 2003) to connecting our company in 2 different islands.
to connect from server to server weused DinAccess (telkom Indonesian LAN) 128 Kbps, and also VPN to encrypted security.

The problem is when our company decide to impement new system (NAV 5.01) the performance is to slow and to heavy to open only 1 table. for example table item needed 24 second to opened. and it just only 1 computer client in another islands to access it. can you imagine if we have 30 - 50 users?

so do you have any solutions for our company?thanx before

nb: server 1 in samarinda Indonesia (kalimantan Island) and the main server in Jakarta (Java Island). the database nav in jakarta. so samarinda get database from jakarta. in jakarta we have about 20-30 users (doesn't have any problem). and in samarinda we have 30-60 users.

If you are running the client/server connection over the VPN any version of Navision will be very slow because of the large volume of data the client requires. Only if you run Citrix or Terminal Services are you going to get acceptable performance.
