Hi Experts,
I am facing a tricky problem in manufacturing please help me..
here is the problem...
for example...
We have 3 prod. orders Prod 1, Prod 2 and prod 3 resp. (whose SO shipment dates are 27,28,29 resp where this shipment dates on SO can't be changed, it must be as is it).
Initially these Prod. orders are scheduled on 26,27,28 Resp. on same month and year but,Now due to some prob. the Schedule for Prod 1 is started on 27 instead of 26,and what we have is if prod 1 is postponed then the next prod orders are also postponed to next date(ie. prod 2 to 28 and prod 3 to 29),
if this is then the shipment date differs with the schedule time.
I have suggested one solution to the clients to either increase the machine centers or do an over time, they will, instead of increasing the machine centers they can do over time.
if they can do Overtime what are the conditions should i need to keep in mind? and how it can be maitained?
if there is any other process where we can solve this type of problems please tell me.
Thanks in advance.
Note:
if possible please explain in detail.
Thank You
