Problem editing layout in Visual Studio

Hi.
I've installed NAV2009 on a clean VPC image. Everything works nice except working with report layout in Visual Studio.
When I choose to view an existing layout or create a new I get an error when Visual Studio starts. The error message is:
"The application for project 'C:\Document and settings......\Report0)0)\ReportLayout' is not installed.
Make sure the application for the project type () is installed"
Anyone who nows how to solve this?
Thanks
/Lars

You need Visual Studio in order to edit Report layouts.
I used to think that the Web Designer was sufficient - but I think you need the C# SKU.
Download it here:

Actually, for reporting Visual Web Developer Express with the Report Designer add-in is enough. Both 2005 SP1 and 2008 will do the job.
Which version of VS do you have installed currently?Claus Busk Andersen

Thanks Claus
I would also like to point to the Nav Developer blog, where Lars is writing about Reporting (due to lack of understanding Reports, I won't do that on my blog)

Thank You guys!
One of my problems was that I hade VS2005 installed together with SQL.
I uninstalled VS2005 and installed VS Web Designer with SP1 and Report Designer Add-in and then everything works just nice.

Hi Lars,
Visual Studio version installed with SQL server can not edit reports.
See my answer in this thread about which version of Visual Studio supports editing reports:
