I need to update NAVISION table using a text file, for which, I use a Dataport . But then I want to write the no. of records, and hash totals of a few selected fields also. I want to ensure there is no duplication of the job being run . After the dataport is run, I want to move the text file to a back up area and delete the file . Do I need to call VB programs inside C/AL programs . Please guide .

I think I shd write a dataport to do the actual job of updating and call it from a codeunit where I can do the other peripheral activities of checking .
