US Sales Tax Module

Does anybody has experience with US Sales Tax stuff? I've tried it and I have problems posting TAX of type EXCISE (on sales/purchase line)?
And the other problem is when calculating amounts on line with TAX when you have different currency than LCY - I think the calculation is wrong.
Any ideas?
