Hello All,

Has anyone developed a functionality where in you restrict the users to view the records only for a particular dimension.

For example : I have a global dimension called 'Center' - Values are delhi1, delhi2, delhi3 ...and so on.

Every user should be able to view,filter,access only his center records. Even reports for his center only.

Is it possible to do in Navision... and has any one done it before?

Any inputs would be very useful.

Use security filters by going tools->security->Database Logins->Roles->permissions .In this window u'll find Security filtetrs.Apply here

I have set the Security Filters for GL entry tables, and it is working fine. But when I try to see the Chart of Account, it shows me the balance of all dimensions, but if I press F6 in that field it shows only the records of the DImensions set in the Security filters.

Am I missing some code, that i have to write for this?

Can any one please suggest if FIltergroup would be a better idea meet this requirement.

Any insight would be very helpful.

My project is going to be deployed this month, but I am not sure how to get this done.
