Synchronize NAV 5.0 SP1 with Outlook 2007

We want to start integration between NAV 5.0 SP1 and Outlook 2007 but got some problems. I will give quick description about this issue. We have SQL Server on Windows Server 2008 that we are using for NAV 5.0 SP1. We are using it remotely (using new application called RemoteApp) but Outlook clients are everywhere in user computers. Now we want start synchronizing Outlook and NAV. In Outlook we have to set up connection settings but we cannot provide database server name (test connection button cannot find remotely located SQL Server) as it doesn’t locate in local network. Is it somehow possible to initialize this synchronization in this method or can somebody suggest some other method that could work (ex. VPN or …).

Another question is about synchronizing NAV with Exchange Server. If it is somehow possible then we prefer synchronizing contacts and tasks directly through Exchange Server (this is located in the same server with NAV database) into users accounts.
