Inspector v1.0
You can:
- open and view FOB, TXT, XML and FBK files.
- open 3 files at the same time.
- filter the object list by column clicking.
- use the filter characters like Navision.
- mark objects like Navision (CTRL+F1).
- create a filter from the SELECTED items.
- Export selected items to MS Excel
- Export selected items to Clipboard (TAB seperated)
- view page objects
- drop a file in the Inspector DROP box.
- Close the window with ESC.
- and more...

    Hello

    could be usefull as a fob viewer indeed.
    Now i use notepad to do that.

    Although i have some recommendations:

    - when maximizing (at least at my 1900x1200 resolution in vista, yes i know i'm a nerd) the layout is going totally messed up.
    - experiment with the .NET installer and make a setup project. The .NET installer also alows you to easally attach attach the program to .FOB to allow viewing from a file explorer.

    try this:
    1. open a fob that has so many objects wich exceeds the amount that can be visible (so scroll bars appear)
    2. click select all
    3. click on a column heading to activate filter screen
    4. cancel the filter
    5. see wich selection remains, only the visible entries remain the rest is deselected !!

    I think the aplication still needs a little work to suit my needs but keep on the good work ;)

    Thanks for your comment.

    I've tested your scenario but without problems with the selection.
    Maybe the reason is you are using Vista :P :wink:
    The same with the resolution, no problems.

    Hi,

    I have downloaded this utility but I am unable to delete objects from the .fob file.

    I have imported the .fob into Inspector and highlighted a line to delete.Pressed delete and then save as... But when I re-open the save as filename, the deleted line is still there..??

    What am I doing wrong??

    Hi,

    It's not possible to delete objects in a file.
    The delete function will only delete the lines in the inspector to hide some lines temporary.

    Example:
    You got 10 lines and want to create an excel export for 8 lines.
    Then you can delete the 2 lines quickly.
    This is faster than to create a filter to exclude these lines.

    Great Tool

    Will there be any updates soon?

    Automatic filtering does'nt Work in my NAV 2013 Dev. Environment Build35670

    It just craps out on the first object, never changes to other objects types :(
