Has anyone sucessfuly accomplished this? Every time I try to install Navision Server on a Windows Server 2008, I get an error that server.exe has been stopped.
I think the last platform that was supported with 2.6 was Windows 2000.
Windows Server 2008 is basically the server version of Vista. The only officially supported versions are 4.0 SP3 (for which you will need a platform update) and up. You either need to install the right platform for 2.6, or upgrade your executables to a version that is supported on Windows Server 2008.
Thats true. Thats also the thing why some applications < year 2001 not run under vista / Server2008.
So use Server 2000 or upgrade your Nav version. If you are a enduser check your license / contract. Maybe there is a sentence like: "You've the right to get the actual Nav versions, and you've the right this versions to use. Only customized obejects must be changed by partner "
