Hi All...
We are trying to implement a PDF solution to our Native 2.6 Database with 3.7 executables.
After reading the posts I downloaded PDF Creator via
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=57796
from the following thread
http://www.mibuso.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18331&highlight=
and coppied the code as instructed.
When compiling the form I get an automation error.
I know this means that the automation required is not installed on my server or pc, however if i have installed the application what else do i have to do in order to see the automation via navision??
Im guessing i need to register a dll somewhere but i will be blown if i know what to install or where to pick it up from...
Any help????
Thanks in advance

go to the global variable and reselect the automation variable from the list.
The automation references in the text file reference the old version of the pdfcreator.
Pdf creator has released new version since.
So you need to design the object go to global variable and do a lookup on the automation list and select the pdfcreator again.0 -
Hi
I dont think I was clear enough on my inital post.
I know how to access the automation variable and how to decare one.
The variable looks like this :
Name DataType Subtype Length
PDFCreator Automation Unknown Automation Server.Unknown Class e]
However when i drill down on the Sub Type of the variabe (Unknown Automation Server.Unknown Class, which should say PDFCreator) the automation type of PDFCreator is not in the list of available automation applications.
I have installed and reinstalled rebooted and reinstalled PDF Creator till my fingers hurt but still i can not see PDF Creator on my list of avaible automation options.
I have tried going to the custom controls in Nav and browsing to the .dll's in the PDFCreator Install Folder but when i select the dll I get an error saying that Nav could not register the OLE Control.
In a desperate attempt to blame my laptop i have tried using a virgin lappy. I rebuilt a machine with only XP with SP3 Nav 3.7 and PDFCreator installed and still got the same error so its not a conflict on my machine.
What im asking is other than reinstall PDF Creator what do i do to allow me to access PDF Creator as an automation application?
Thanks in advanceM@

I suggest to use bullzip. Anybody who I've seen with issues with PDF creator.

My PDF Creator issues were solved by going to the website and downloading the latest version rather than the link posted on a previous thread.
As for the bullzip i think i will give it a go as the 'freezing' of my clinet is intermittent when using PDFCreator even with the repeat sleep until inserted.
Thanks for all your info
