How to connect navision to VB.NET

Hi,

Can anybody Suggest me a solution how to connect navision with VB .NET, I mean am working on NAV 4sp3. and i want to send and recieve data to an external application which is VB .NET.
As am a beginner can anybody giv me a detailed solution to work upon.

    You can always try with automation.
    Write a codeunit for your specific needs with at least one global variable with the type automation.
