Hi all,
we are getting Connection failure error message with following reason.
1. The server has been shutdown, either manually or as a result of an error.
2. Your session has been by administrator.
3. A netowrk failure has occured.
4. A hardware failure has occured on the server computer on your computer.
some time we are restart the server, problem was solved for the some time means 1/2 or 1 hours.
network is pinging, I am able to access the server also, but not able to access the ERP Navision.
Pls suggest, whats type of problem and where we have to check.
I have checked at our end.

<- here it could be, that the SQL Server is restoring the database and then you can't connect. This you can see in the Management studio / enterprise manager.
Do you have checked the EventLog or the SQL Server own Log?
Do you have checked your drives (for example there is HDD error) or your RAM (could also bee that the RAM is damaged).
And also it could bee (seen on a customer) that there is a virus or a attack from outside.
So connect your Administrator and check the server by using the Logs and other admin. tools.
