Vat error very strange

HI people,
I created one customer I assign Vat business posting group = Domestic ‘
I crete an item I assign Vatprodcut posting group = Vat 4.
When I try to sale that item that means I filled sales header and come to sales line and select Item No
Then I am getting an error which is below.
Vat posting group does not exist
Vat Business Posting group = National , Vatproduct posting group = Vat 4

But here Important thing is My vat business Posting groups are Domestic, Export.

I don’t have the National Vat business posting group.
But I am getting the error On National.
For this even I gone through the debugger the error point is
In sales line the trigger VAT Prod. Posting Group - OnValidate(),
The code is VATPostingSetup.GET("VAT Bus. Posting Group","VAT Prod. Posting Group");
So what is the error how to solve this issue.

You are looking at the wrong Posting Groups.
You need to be looking at the VAT Posting Groups.

In finance module – setup – Vat posting groups -
In vat posting groups we have Vat Business posting group, Vat product posting group.

In Vat business posting group we have Domestic , Export .
We don’t have National.

So you can either add National to the VAT setup
or check your customer card VAT Bus. Posting Group

remove sales header and line and check Gen.Prod posting group on customer card and on item card check vat product posting group may be it is changed by another user .
again create sales order.

Here I would like to tell one thing
My Gen Business Postin groups are Domestic , Export Only
I don’t have any National Business posting groups and as Product posting group

"General Business Posting Groups" ARE NOT "VAT Business Posting Groups"

The sales header has an old VAT posting group, or the customer has it set, or there is a modificiation in play.

The system is telling you this is wrong, and it is getting the data from somewhere, so you need to find it!

I deleted that sales order and creatd new order.

still i ma getting that error.

But here the main issue is I am getting this error for some items only .

But not for all items.

For example I have customer A.

I have two item s X, Y.

If sell the X item to customer A there is no error and i can post .


but if i sell Y item to customer A, here iam gettng the problem

Here both items have Vat producting posting group = Vat 4 %

Vat Business postin group = Domestic.

So what is the problem

Kindly help me.

If the error is with the business posting group and you get it when changing the item AND it does not actually exist, AND this is on new entries, AND I understand everything you have described the ONLY answer is that there is a modification causing this issue.

Very simple, you have not selected Vat posting group for the item. Check in item card. Select the vat posting group for the item in item card. Reselect the item in SO or Purchase order try posting it..
