Hi everyone,
We are trying to create a copy of an existing company minus any transaction history or opening balances.
I have tried using the Copy Data function in Setup Checklist, but I can't get the masterfile data to copy.
IE. No Customers, Vendors or Items have been copied across.
1. Can anyone please suggest what I may be doing wrong?
2. Is this the best way to accomplish this?
3.70B Native DBase.
Thanks in advance for your time.

AP Commerce, Inc. = where I work
Getting Started with Dynamics NAV 2013 Application Development = my book
Implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV - 3rd Edition = my 2nd book
How do I go about copying the Sales and Purchase orders across?
I have been able to copy the Headers, but not the lines. Error Message: "You cannot paste into this table"
Savatage, thanks for your suggestion, should have tried the obvious first...
While copy paste might work fine for Customer, Item, Vendor tables other protected tables you may not have good luck with? I thought you didn't want any history as stated in your first post?
As I said there is that copy copmany tool - there is also a tool in the download section called Go Live tool (or something like that)
that takes a copy of your company & deletes all transactions (supposedly..never tried it)

We have successfully completed this task now.
We ended up using a combination of copy pasting and dataports to import the required data.
