Item Permissions

Hi

I wish to set Item cards so that they cannot be altered once created. I have created a new User with Roles - All, Inv Item BOM, Inv Item BOM Edit. I have also created a new test Role which
has Table Data, Object ID 27 item with Read permission set to Yes (others are all blank)

I am getting an error ...You do not have Permission etc when i try and open an Item Card from the menu

    could you please write the whole error message. If the message is displayed, press CTRL+C, go to this forum and paste it here (CTRL+V)

    the full message is

    You do not have permission to Run the Item table. Ciontact the system manager...

    to run the table? Do you will start the table from object designer?
    Normaly the error message is like:
    Microsoft Dynamics NAV
    You do not have permission to read the Item table.

    Contact your system manager if you need to have your permissions changed.

    Yup - it says Run
