Running Navision on IPSec VPN *Help Needed*

Hi Guys

I am in the beginning stages of setting up an IPSec VPN connection between our two locations this is primarily to run Navision, can anyone please provide the following information:

1. What is the bandwidth requirements of the Microsoft Dynamics client?
2. Will it work satisfactorily over low bandwidth connections?
3. What about the impact of latency in the connection?

As there are many experts on this forum any help will be greatly appreciated and when answering can you please provide as such detail as possible as I am completely new to Navision. Thanks in advance.

You will need to use Citrix and/or Terminal Server.

What do you mean by low bandwidth, less than Broadband? Dial-Up?

Are you implementing IPSEC across your Lan and then enquiring about a VPN on top and the subsequent problems or are you just enquiring about a VPN?

A terminal connection over a standard broadband (1mb adsl) is just fine in terms of performance and latency is never really an issue when using a terminal connection.

Don't use dial-up, too much these days is reliant on broadband to make dial-up effective for anything other than remote mail.

Then why did you ask these questions if you already knew the answer. :-k
