Need to move transactons from one Db to another.

We had a hard drive failure (at the time when RAID was disabled :x
Database has been restored to another (TEMP) server but one day of transactions is lost. We do have a read only access to our old database (located on the MAIN server) but with the following message:
Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision
There is a corrupted area in the database. This type of error occurs if the database file is changed by another program or if the device driver does not function correctly.Warning! This error MUST be corrected before you can continue. Do not use any type of disk utilities on the database.First check the database by clicking File, Database, Test and then click Maximum. If you still get the same error, you should:1) Make a backup of the database by copying the database file(s).2) Use the built-in function to make a backup.3) If this works, create a new database WITHOUT deleting the database that contains the error(s).Restore the backup (made with the built-in backup function) into the new database, and test it by clicking File, Database, Test and then clicking Maximum. If this procedure does not work, any changes to the database after the most recent backup will be lost. Restore the most recent backup (made with the built-in backup function) and test it.For security reasons, you should save the old database until you have used the new one for a period of time.Contact your system manager if you need assistance.
OK
So the questions are:
1 Is there any way to fix the corrupted database? ( I tried the back up - comes back with the same error message as above)
2 If we can not restore the corrupted database what would the be right approach to extract those (missing from backup) transactions and move them into the new (restored from the backup) database? They all have a posted date of 10/27/2008.
Thank you very much

There is a product called C/DART that can recover the transactions form a corrupt database. Its a bit arduous to get access to the tool, but its a life saver once you have it.
You need to contact your partner, they will contact Microsoft, and probably you will need to send the database to Microsoft and they will do the extraction. They wont normally let the product out of the building unfortunately.
I have used this in the past to recover quite a lot of valuable data.
