How use the CAL/FUNCTION "OPTIONCAPTION"

Hello,

I want return the caption of a field Option/type in a variable text in a table on trigger ON VALIDATE for this field named NameField.

I wrote my CAL/code like this:

OptionText:=NameFiedl.OPTIONCAPTION

I obtain the folowing error message/
"The variable is not a record.'variable field is invalid'

Everybody can help me ?

Hi Rudy,

OPTIONCAPTION is to be used with Fieldref not actual fields - just use FORMAT( NameFiedl )
