i setup 1 server and 1 client. i install sql server 2005 in the server. i also install C/SIDE Client for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 Complete in server and Minimum in client. i open the microsoft dynamics nav sql server option and when i lookup in the server list i only find one server and that is the name of the client....

Question:
How can i make the server appear in the list?

5.0 made a change in that it no longer searches for sql servers on the network. So the only server you see is the local one.
You have to type the name or ip address of the server.

FYI: The feature of looking up the Servers has been removed since Version 5.0. I send a "Product Suggestion" to MS asking if it was possible to re-introduce this in upcoming version, as I found that quite convenient, especially when interacting with SQL Server via MSADO etc..
The answer was: they will think about it ... :-k
