NAS and Synchronisation with Outlook in V5 SP1

Hello,
I'm running in Dynamics NAV V.5 SP1 with a SQL Database.
Is it absolutely necessary to activate NAS for use the Synchronisation with Outlook?
When I want test my connection in Outlook I see my SQL Server and my database and the company but I Obtain the following error Message:

Just as a sidenote I have previously had the same error cuaused by the windows user being used by Outlook not having sufficient security right or permissions for the synchronisation objects in Navision so this may be worth checking.
I have run the NAS with the startupparameter "OSYNCH" in the codeunit 1 and it is OK.
But the setup for the Outlook Synchronisation is not easy !!!!
