sql 2008 vs. 2005

Hello

I saw a blog a while back on migration from sql 2005 to 2008. Has anybody done any detail test on performance comparisons?

MS has released the compatibility document in August.

Not really answering your question but...

I was working with a client recently that run 4.00sp3 on Windows 2008 with SQL 2008, they have been running for about 6 weeks and say that it all works fine. But I was involved because they have serious performance issues. They upgraded from Win2003/SQL2005 thinking that 2008/2008 would fix all their problems, which of course it did not.

Keep in mind that the advantages of SQL 2008 were designed for BIG databases, 100 to 1,000 times bigger than what we use in Navision, so I still don't see where 2008 will provide any major benefits to us yet. I would think that 2008 would make better use of CPUs though.
