Hello
we are encounter an warning error message when trying to create a credit memo in navision 3.6
Error message:
You cannot assign numbers greater than CM9999 from the number series S-CR.
I went into the No.series table and saw the S-CR have a starting No. of CM1001 and a Ending No. of CM9999, and it was set so the warning message when the No. reaches to CM9950. Was wondering what would happen if it does reach CM9999? how are we able to create anymore credit memo, since it reaches the ending no. CM9999 ?
thanks in advance.

You'll have to assign a new number series...
With a different no.
I assume you are referring to non-posted credit memos so there is no need to discuss legal issues in your country...0 -
You could do the quick and easy fix, and put CM99999 (5 nines instead of 4) as the ending number, and that'll give you about 90000 more credit memo numbers.0

yeah we use 6 CM000001 to cm999999 - hopefully I never need to shell out a million credits0

One problem you'll face is sorting...
It will show:
CM1000
CM10000
instead of:
CM9999

I guess if sorting by document number is important (other than making sure that there are no gaps in the numbering series, I can't think of a single reason why it would be) then that could indeed be a problem.
If that's the case then they will need to set up a new numbering series0
