How to Upgradation Hotfixes with Development tool kit easily

Could anyone please help me how i can upgrade my customized database with the hotfix. What I have done is as follows:
1)made one .txt file of original Navision Objects(3.7 version
2)made one .txt file of Customized Navision Objects(3.7 Version)
3)made one .txt file of Hotfix came(3.7 version)
4)Import all three .txt file into Development tool kit
5)Run Merge Setup and try to create New merge objects.
The system hangs and can not complete.I'm not able to merge the database.
