Synchronisation NAV 5.0 with Outlook

SuperSage77SuperSage77 Member Posts: 101
Hello!

I'm running Nav 5.0 on a SQL Server Database and I want activate the Synchronisation with Outlook.

But when I want test the connection, I obtain the following message.

"The response from Microsoft Dynamics NAV has not been received because of connctions timeout. Please check if the Microsoft Dynamics NAV server is running an try again later. If the problem persiste, increase value of the configuration file"

Which configuration file ?

Where can I find documentation for activate the Synchronisation with Outlook.

Everybody can help me ?
Thanks

Rudy

There is a great section on this in Rene Gayer's new Navision book.

There is also a couple of post on this subject and answers.

You need to run NAS (JOB QUEUE) and set a specific codeunit on job queue.

I hit this error before, before that, are you using SP1? Without SP1 there would be some more problems you might encounter later.

The error is you hit is nothing to do with connection timeout indeed, it is your parameter setting issue. Are you using the "Application Server Manager" tool to set your application server parameters? Please post your parameters & I will see what I can help.
