Did Dynamics NAV 5.0 has an Open API with related technical documentation to allow integration with external systems.

There is C/Front SDK for NAV, which allows you to connect to NAV database and read/write data but WITHOUT APPLICATION LOGIC. It means no NAV code running behind the modifications. C/Front is good for reading and some simple writing to special tables, not directly into standard tables.

Other ways depends on what you want to do. In most cases you can use WebServices which can be created for NAV (search the forum) etc.
