Hi,

I have a small Confusion regarding Permissions in navision.

In Navision Go to

Tools -> Security --> Roles

Now we get the Different types of Roles..Under roles we have a Permission
( menu button Role --> Click Permissions)

Now we have different types of Permissions like read, write, Insert.

Read permission is drop down button..( yes, indirect)

What is the Difference between the Yes and Indirect

    In the Object Type field, you can click the AssistButton to see or select the types of objects for which you can assign permissions.

    The other fields on the right of the window indicate whether the role includes permissions to read, insert, modify, delete or execute the table, window, function, and so on. The following options are available in these permissions fields:

    Yes: You can always read, for example, this object.

    Indirect: The permission is valid only when used with another object that you have permission for. For example, you cannot create G/L entries directly, but you can create them indirectly, using the posting function.

    If the field is blank, you do not have this permission.
