Which planning engine is best

Hi,

For example I created a sales orders 35 for different Finished items ( Replenishment = production). In a month with different dates . The items has lot of Bill of Materials.

Which planning engine is best to know how many productions orders has to create and how many components to purchase to make the finished product.

That means Order Planning or Planning worksheet .
Please let me know experts which planning worksheet you use .

It is better to use Planning Worksheet, because this worksheet gives u the decision to make production & purchase orders baseed on forecast & sales orders which is not possible in order planning where only sales order plannning can be done.

I gone through the explanation.
In manufacturing set up - Planning MRP/MPS calculations in this I place a check mark.
I run the Planning worksheet , but it is not showing the production orders . just it is showing only the components which I have to purchase for that production orders.
What is the wrong .

Please help me.
