FA Negative Posting Error

Hi,
Is it possible for the Book Value within the Fixed Assests to show a negative value?
The reason i ask is because, when I post a negative 'Amount' (within the FA Journals) that will make the Book Value a negative figure an error message appears. Is there not a way to get around it so that the Value can be negative?
