Is this a bug of Adjust Cost - Item Entries

Hi guys,

I want to make sure is this a bug of the ACIE report.
I found there has some costing problem for the BOM item in following scenario:

While I assembled a BOM item Z with average cost component A, then execute a ACIE to adjust the the component A to an actual cost.
ACIE would only adjust the cost of component A but BOM item Z would not have any adjustment.

Does anyone notice about this? I believe this is a bug.
ps. We are in 4.03 Environment.

I am not sure, but I thought that BOM (not Production BOM) is not adjusting the costs of items created through this "assembly" BOM... But may be some changes I do not know about... :-k

Pretty sure you are correct.

This is "By Design" according to Microsoft, if you use BOM's rather than Production BOM's then you take the cost at the point of kitting, and adjustments to the components are irrelevant. This is the stance of Micsoroft not me, pretty sure it has not changed, but feel free to have that argument and bash your head against that wall with them if you like. You will be wanting the ability to use serial numbers in BOM journals next!

If you want to have the cost adjusted to the finished goods, you will need to use the production BOM. The production BOM comes with the AM licensing.

FYI, NEVER USE THE ASSEMBLY LIST BOM!

In 3.7 and 4.0 adjust cost did update the BOM item cost. In 5.0 I don't see the code any more in inventory adjustment.

It did but maybe in NA version, not in W1 version...

There's no more BOM journal in version 5.0. It's replaced by Kits. At least in the NA version.

From what I understand, Kits are only available in the NA version.
