Database and company fails to start. plz help

Once i enter database name and click "ok" (to open the database and then company) database & company doesn't opens.Once i also activated the debugger but codeunit 1 didn't got executed that means the problem lies much before the execution of codeunit 1.The navision is running on a sql server option mode. What could be the problem and what is the way out?please help

do you have permissions to run the database / company?

yes, i have all the permission

If you can open database, can you open object designer and run one of common tables (Windows SID or something)?

And you see some error? Or it just do nothing? Can you do Ctrl+O and it opens the company list?

no error gets shown. it simply doen's moves further.Neither database opens nor company opens
