Hello everyone,
I have a Navision Attain Database Server on Windows 2000 and a client on Windows 2000 too over a domain.
I want to setup windows logins for a database, so I enter a new user by picking it from the domain. I use the Super role for that user.
In the client I enter the 'domain\username' and the domain password but:
"The combination of user ID and password entered is invalid. Try again."
Can anyone help on this?

Hi,
I was trying to use Windows Authentication instead of DB but couldn't make it work. But I have solved the problem...
I entered the NTAuthentication=Yes in the shortcut parameters and the Windows authentication is valid and active... Tricky, I can't remember reading it in any manual, just in the user portal installation steps...
Thanks anyway Robert...0 -
Well, that was on my mind. When you are login in (by using Navision open database window), you have the option Authentication.
If you setup the parameters in shortcut to exe, you have found the right way: NTAuthentication=Yes
A hint !
Use NTAuthentication=1 or NTAuthentication=0, beacuse this is languague independant. (If using yes/no and swithcing language when running, next time shortcut won't work...)®obi

Nice hint!!!
I was thinking about it and I knew that it would cause problems in the future but that 1/0 instead of Yes/No is the key solution!!!
Thanks alot Robi0 -
