NAV is not yet guaranteed on SQL2008. So it could be that.

It is also possible that the automation is not OK for Vista. (I think more in this direction).

First try a Cronus DB on SQL2008. If NAV doesn't crash, probably it is the automation.
In this case you need a virtual machine with XP in which to run this.

I think the best is to re-install your PC with Windows XP and SQL2005. Remember that with Vista you wont be able to run (or with a lot of hacking) older NAV versions (before 4.0SP3 upgrade 6).

Have you some errors in event log for time of crash? Is there something in SQL log?

I am using Vista and SQL 2008 without problems... (but using it just sometime...)

I was quite in a hurry ... I remove sql 2008 and back to 2005 and it's working perfectly ...

When I will have more time to test (maybe on holiday :x ) I will check the log ...
