I am creating a ledger budget in AX. I understand some of the setup options available to me, but am just after some guidance on the best one.
Company A will have a budget of 20'000 for account 0001.
Company A also have 10 department dimensions to split that 20'000 across the 0001 account.
What is the best way of telling the system that information? Is it to create 10 ledger budget line, specifying the amount on each line the dimension and the specific amount allocated to them?
Or can you use other things such as allocation terms etc?
My reason for asking is I have created a financial statement to show actuals vs budget, and I cant seem to get the budget figures onto the report unless there are separate ledger budget lines for each dimension on the ledger budget form.
Suggestions welcome.
