NEW! Microsoft exams with Simulation Technology ??

Hello,

I'm preparing for the test MB7-517 Installation & Configuration NAV 5.0.

I saw on Microsoft site and I also know this is valid for example for SQL 2005 exams that there are some simulations as following:

Microsoft has introduced a revolutionary new way to assess real-world skills by introducing simulation technology into their testing methodology. Certification exams will now feature a combination of traditional test items and simulated work environments where candidates will demonstrate their skills by performing critical IT tasks.

I made previous examination with pearsonvue on Navision but there was no simulation.
I ask if someone of you, that recently had these examination, found also simulation questions or only the classic question with a text and one or more choice.

Maybe these simulations/new things are for classical Ms exams [Not Dynamics / Business Solutions ]?

This is the first time I've heard about that, but that would absolutely be great if they could do that with NAV exams.

I've passed MB7-515 NAV 5.0 Financials last week only. There were no questions with Simulation Technology, only classic multiple choice ones.

Although there were a lot of preparation labs with simulation technology (it seems to me it's Flash) in NAV 5.0 Financials E-Learning Training courses. These E-Learnings are on Customer Source (and Partner Source as well).

The SQL 2005 Implementation and Maintenance does have simulation questions on it. I don't think NAV does...yet. Hopefully soon.

I did the SQL 2005 Implementation and Maintenance last week. 47 questions in total.
35 were the usual multiple choice/mulitple answer question, 12 were simulations.
You need a passing score of 700 in both sections to pass the full exam.

IMO the simulations were more like how SQL Server Management Studio would
be used in real life for doing backups, database moves etc.


By the way I passed.
